Approximately 920 fifth-graders from across San Angelo ISD filled the Murphey Performance Hall to watch “mathemagician” Danny Carmo perform his show Mathematical Mysteries – a show where “math and magic collide.”
San Angelo ISD celebrates the District Communications Team which was honored with fourteen state awards at the 2023 Texas School Public Relations Association (TSPRA) Conference. Together, the team received two Best of Category, three Crystal Certificates of Merit, seven Gold Star Awards and two Silver Star Awards. The awards honored work from the previous school year, and were announced at TSPRA’s 61st annual Star Awards Celebration held on Wednesday, February 22, 2023 in Fort Worth, Texas.
San Angelo ISD is proud to announce Michele Beers, Assistant Principal of Bradford Elementary, has been named Region Assistant Principal of the Year for Region 15. The award is given by the Texas Elementary Principals and Supervisors Association (TEPSA) and recognizes principals for their commitment to student learning as evidenced by exceptional school leadership.
A classroom at Goliad Elementary is filled with excited third-, fourth- and fifth-graders engaged in learning about becoming an artist from Ms. Ash Perales, a local mural painter and artist, as she draws a portrait with charcoal and answers questions about her chosen career field as part of their annual Career Day. Ms. Perales is joined by five other local representatives from organizations across the Concho Valley including the San Angelo Police Department, Goodfellow Air Force Base, Shannon Medical Center, and the City of San Angelo to provide firsthand knowledge of their field.
