Report Property Damage

Please document and report any flood-related property damage to the Texas Division of Emergency Management:

Click the Link to Report Damage Here - FEMA

Select the July 2 event or the general incident damages/losses. Once it is safe, please document all damage thoroughly. This documentation is critical to support eligibility for FEMA and local assistance programs.

2-1-1 has been updated with all available resources. Please call that number if you need additional resources.

  • San Angelo ISD Administration Building

Each location will have Chromebooks available for use and WiFi access for those who need internet access on their personal devices. Devices will be available starting today at noon, Tuesday, July 8.

Debris Management Guidelines

  • Household Trash/Perishables: Bag and place at the curb. Collection begins Monday, July 7.
  • Non-Household Debris (e.g., furniture, construction materials): Must be separated and placed at the curb according to the flyer. Pickup will begin in approximately one week by a FEMA-compliant contractor. Unsorted debris will not be collected. If you have questions, please call 325-657-4323.

Financial Assistance & Donations

The City of San Angelo’s efforts to assist flood victims are being supported by the San Angelo Area Foundation (SAAF). SAAF is coordinating monetary donations and also offers a way for those in need to apply for financial assistance through their website.

If you have been impacted by the flood and need assistance, SAAF asks that you begin by documenting your damages through the Texas Division of Emergency Management: damage.tdem.texas.gov.

Please note that clear and thorough documentation of damages and expenses will be essential when applying for support. FEMA will also be a major resource for homeowners, but eligibility requires accurate and complete documentation, so we strongly encourage you to take photos, save receipts, and record all losses.

Shelter Information

The Disaster Resource Center will be set up every day from noon to 6 p.m. at PaulAnn Church, 2531 Smith Blvd. The Community Action Agency will be on-site doing intake for those who need a shelter voucher. For those needing shelter after the times listed above, please contact the non-emergency line at 325-657-4315.

The San Angelo Area Foundation will be on-site to gather information about the needs and long-term recovery efforts. To assist the Foundation in assessing damages, please complete this intake form. This information will be used along with the iSTAT damage survey to determine financial assistance for those significantly impacted.

FEMA is not currently on-site in San Angelo. If and when they arrive, the City of San Angelo will continue to update social media.
